The Chicken or the Egg?

What has appeared earlier: the chicken or the egg? For hundred years this question has been exciting scientists andphilosophers.

The egg has appeared first. Professor John Brookfield, a specialist in evolutionary genetics at the University of Nottingham explains this theory: “Therefore, the first living thing which we could say unequivocally was a member of the species would be this first egg. So, I would conclude that the egg came first.”

The debate, which gave answer to one of the most important question the mankind is interested in, was organized by Disney to promote the release of the “Chicken Little” movie on DVD.

Rhythm of BORNEO: 2012 Rainforest Music Festival T-shirt design

In conjunction with this year’s Borneo Jazz (BJ) and Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF), the Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) has once again roped in the creative talents of local university students to design T-shirts which will be produced as merchandise items for the iconic events.
A total of 130 T-shirt designs will be displayed at the T-Shirt Design Exhibition and Voting Competition at tHe Spring Shopping Mall until tomorrow (March 4). It features the artistic works of students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak and Limkokwing Borneo.
Meanwhile, promotional tickets to the renowned music fests will also be available at the exhibition. Early birds will be able to purchase one-day tickets at an attractive 50 per cent discount.
Both BJ and RWMF to be held on May 11 to 12 and July 13 to 15 respectively, have garnered much global acclaim, setting a platform to showcase the best of what Sarawak has to offer the world. They are also an opportunity for Sarawakians and visitors to converge and be part of a cultural and musical extravaganza.
